I'm a 20 year old Women's Studies major at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York.

I know that I have white privilege, class privilege, physically-able privilege, and I usually have conditional cis-passing / binary-passing privilege. I work to be aware of those and reconcile them, but PLEASE call me out if I say or do something problematic. I will do my best to listen and change my behavior accordingly.

things I think about at lunch:

if I were ever in charge of a company that made processed, artificially-flavored foods, I would want to be really creative with the flavor names. Like, instead of having “cherry” or “spicy buffalo”, I’d have names like “mountains”, “blue”, “6”, and “approval”. That way, people would be forced to experience the taste from a new perspective, instead of expecting it to taste like something. I think it would be fun to eat/drink something and be able to say “hmm… this is kidna sweet, in a pleasingly tangy way, I like it”, instead of “yup that tastes like strawberries”.
