If there was a god, she would be queer. If there was a god, she would be black. If there was a god, she would be blind. If there was a god, she would be latin@, asexual, indian, lesbian, disabled, genderqueer, chinese, gay, non-neurotypical, thai, nonbinary, deaf, and pansexual. If there was a god, she would be fat. If there was a god, she would have AIDS. If there was a god, she would be sex-positive and body-positive. If there was a god, people would avoid her in the streets, and laugh at her, and spit at her. If there was a god, she would be an atheist.
If there was a god, she would actually give a shit about racism and sexism and oppression. If there was a god, she would care about intersectionality.
If there was a god, she would be hungry and tired and sick and poor and scared. If there was a god, she would be singing, laughing, spinning, shouting, dancing, yelling. If there was a god, she would draw and write and paint and joke and read and learn. If there was a god, she would question. If there was a god, she would worry, and doubt, and complain, and protest.
If there was a god, she would be music. If there was a god, she would be rap. She would be classical music, she would be funk and jazz and rock and salsa. If there was a god, she would be art. She would be abstract, expressionist, cubist. If there was a god, she would be cave paintings, and sculpture, and architecture, and the scribblings of a 3 year old. She would be an installation piece. She would be improv comedy, and theatrical plays, and film, and TV shows. If there was a god, she would be poems, and short stories, and novels, and multi-part epics.
If there was a god, she would be the sound of people laughing. If there was a god, she would be a handshake, a hug, a smile. If there was a god, she would be children playing on the playground. If there was a god, she would be a team working together to finish a project. If there was a god, she would be the sight of a friend across the street. If there was a god, she would be a mother and a child.
If there was a god, she would be the roar of a lion. If there was a god, she would be the chirping of birds. If there was a god, she would be the timidity of a rabbit, and the curiosity of a puppy.
If there was a god, she would be trees and bushes and flowers and grass. If there was a god, she would be pebbles and mountains and sand and rocks. If there was a god she would be clouds and sky. If there was a god, she would be thunder, and wind, and storms. If there was a god, she would be the sun, the stars, the moon. If there was a god, she would be rivers, swamps, lakes, and oceans.
If there was a god, she would be joy. If there was a god, she would be sorrow. If there was a god, she would be love and loss and fear and hope.
If there was a god, she would be shapes and color and lines and sound and chords and harmony and melody and texture. If there was a god, she would be sights and tastes and smells. If there was a god, she would be life, and death, and pleasure, and pain.
If there was a god, she would be patterns and organization and method. If there was a god, she would be math and science. If there was a god, she would also be chaos and spontaneity and creativity. If there was a god, she would be art and literature. If there was a god, she wouldn’t have a plan. If there was a god, she would be good and evil. If there was a god, she would be balance, and everything, and nothing.
If there was a god, she would be living, breathing, experiencing, existence. If there was a god, she would be me, and you, and everyone, and also no one.
If there was a god, she wouldn’t be something you worshiped, or feared, or followed, or even loved. She would be something you lived.
